Thank you Jewishsoul; I understand what you are saying but I wonder if the soul really fully understood how hellish life down here would be when making that choice.
Did my soul truly know that my life would be so bad that I would spend every single day wishing I were dead?
It reminds me of what is said about the Avos and how they each prayed for
something and G-d said “You have asked for a good thing it will start with you”.
And it seems that what they got was not what they asked for.
For example Avroham Avinu asked that people be able to tell him from his son Yitzchok so G-d made him old.
But with old age, came weakness and Avroham did not ask for his strenght to run away with him.
He only asked that people would know him from his son.
Who asked for the suffering from the weakness of old age?
