Yes, “retard” is offensive. Because that’s what the word is for, plantainbrains. So are “imbecile”, “dunce”, “cumberground”, “birdbrain”, “nitwit”, “doofus”, “airhead”, and all other insults. Because an insult that is not offensive is useless.
