Joseph – I fully disagree with you in what you said in this quote:
“Jews should not be supporting the State of Israel or its interests, other than to the extent they promote safety.”
I think that you are completely wrong about this and that the State of Israel does a lot of good for the Jewish people. The state gives funding to yeshivas and other Jewish institutions. The state does a lot of good and I’m sorry that you are unable to see it. While you are entitled to your opinion I really disagree with you and hope that you would be able to see Israel in a different light.
