At the mistake accidentally placed
In last night’s verse
But it could be worse
No effort goes entirely to waste.
Someday “gratification” will be rhymed correctly,
The verse will be proofed circumspectly,
There will be no shame
In signing my name
To a line that rhymes AND scans perfectly.
