Minimum wage is running around 7.50/hour, what with the current shekel/dollar rate. That is what a lot of secretarial positions pay. I have no idea what teachers get paid. Most kollel families have one working spouse who works anywhere from 5 to 8 hours a day and kollelim here are harder and harder to get into.
