Joseph, there are only two of us home full time now. The homemade hummus doesn’t last as long, because it doesn’t have the preservatives that the commercial stuff has. I love hummus, I love my wife’s hummus, but I can’t eat all the hummus before it would begin to turn bad.
When we first made aliyah, we had 3 kids living at home full time; we’d finish a 1 kg container of hummus about every 10 days. We don’t even buy that size container anymore, because there’s no one home to eat it.
