@shopping- you can always obtain Israeli citizenship whenever you’d like in the future. They will gladly give you a passport so you might as well save that opportunity for when you actually want to make Aliyah with all the benefits. Already having an Israeli passport might make you ineligible for such benefits or make it much more difficult. Benefits such as nefesh benefesh, or even going on a birthright trip.
