The last known Nazi living in the U.S. was deported to Germany following a personal intervention by the Oheiv Yisroel President Donald J. Trump, ending years of legal and diplomatic wrangling of Germany resisting U.S. efforts to deport him there.

“The president told me directly to make it a priority to get the Nazi out,” U.S. Ambassador Richard A. Grenell said, adding that Pres. Trump, himself a native of Queens, had known about the case because of its prominence in the local press. Mr. Grenell said he had “made it a point” to raise the matter in every meeting he took with German officials.
