samthenylic – I went to Chasan Sofer from 1963-1968. I heard from Rav Shmuel ztz’l that an apple does not fall far from a tree, but in case of a storm wind it does, אמר אל הכהנים בני אהרן ואמרת אליו לנפש לא יטמא בעמיו don’t let a bad apple destroy the whole basket.
