Reply To: New York State is Denying Access to Education to Anti-Vaxer Students

Someone said that since the anti-vaxer is based on false science it isn’t prohibited. This is false as even if a person said an apple, which everyone knows is permissible, and said it was pork. He is taking an oath to prohibit as pork and it is prohibited until such time that he wants to nullify his oath.

The purpose of the thread was not to argue over the pros and cons of vaccinating rather it’s about educating the anti-vaxer students that are being denied an education.

The rational is that there maybe someone who has immune system deficiency and can’t take the vaccine and will catch the disease and perhaps die. As far as the anti-vaxers being liable for passing the disease on to others, according to Jewish Law a person is not responsible for indirect damage. Does anyone know what percentage of the population that is not vaccinated due immune system deficiency? This seems to be a civil rights violation similar to when blacks had to give up their seat on the bus for whites.

As to why there would be more anti-vaxers if more people home schooled? Many parents only vaccinate their children because the yeshivas requires it.
