I am a lifelong Democrat, a Baal Tzedaka. I have never given charity toi support whales or abortion, neither have many Democrats I know.
Besides Jewish organizations, I donate to our local Volunteer Fire Company, EMS, Food Pantry, Senior Services, College Scholarships for the poor, The local Catholic Hospital that saved Mrs, CTL’s life and where some of our grandchildren were born.
If you were to take a poll of the 70 some odd members of my Democratic Town Committee, you would be hard pressed to find more than a dozen who have ever given a nickel to support abortion. The vast majority are Catholics whom oppose abortion, but don’t believe their religious beliefs should be civil law.
