I’ve long given up fact checking YWNs headlines, which many times (including this one) are deceptive or just meant to put a spin on a story that reflects their editorial POV, or what their readership likes to hear.
FWIW I don’t see how ANY president can impact most crime stats (aside from not encouraging illegal acts). That’s not their job. If you live in an area where increasing crime is an issue address it locally, to your council members, LE or state reps.
