“I would never sue in such a case anyway but I also think that most lawsuits in the US are little more than legalized theft (lawyers don’t such a terrible reputation for nothing) If anything this is more of a case of some couple jumping onto the “sue” bandwagon.”

Your post would make sense if they complained to the airline and they got Nowhere.
The whole reason that they made lawsuits is because sometimes you can’t get Justice.
That was the main reason.
Yes, there are Flaws in the legal system, but I found the other way too.
I found Judges & Big companies tend to Flaunt the Law, just because they Can!
There are big problems with any Lawsuits, it’s more like Kol DoOlam Gavar.
We have a far way to Really have Fair Justice in this Country!
