Ask any woman you know about the practical challenges of maintaining modesty while walking up one of the modern open staircases or having a office with glass doors and standup desk with no modesty panel. I don’t understand why this is even an issue if the table/chair lifting is done on opposite sides of the mechitza. Find a more respectful way of showing kovod.
