If you are immuno compromised/high risk, a mask may make sense indoors, on planes, etc. Otherwise, virtually all public health experts agree that for most people, risk is low, even with higher beta variant infection rates. Combination of prior Covid exposure, vaccinations and therapeutic drugs all make it less dangerous to go w/o masks.
