I respect the woman who I met today who was raised as a devout Christian but a few weeks ago learned that her mother’s mother was Jewish and completely concealed her Jewish identity after surviving the Holocaust.
She is ready to drop everything and learn what it means live like a Jew for herself and her son. This is the power of a Yiddishe neshoma!
I respect the young bochurim whom I deal with daily who constantly put tremendous effort into holding onto & improving their limmud hatorah and Yiddishe behavior despite the immense struggles and challenges which they go through as a teenager in our day and age.
