Rather than looking for krum self-serving arguments, just think about it, taking your statement at face value. You are in effect saying that your community is so crooked or lame that the army defending Yidden in EY does not want your help. So, Army can train Ethiopian or Russian olim who are clueless about modern life or Judaism, but has hard time integrating people who supposedly learned middos, Torah, and maasim tovim?
