If I remember correctly, many Chareidim have served as MKs
(Members of Knesset) and there were even times when
Chareidim were members of Israel’s ruling coalition.
So Chareidim cannot do anything to help the national defense,
because they do not agree that the state should exist,
but they become Members of Knesset,
and they even become members of Israel’s ruling coalition.
