There are hundreds of shuls in Brooklyn to choose from. Try attending a few on Shabbos morning and see if there’s one where you like the people and rabbi. If so you can start learning with the rabbi or rebbetzin.

Converting takes persistence and tenacity. Most who are interested never complete a conversion. The process can take a few years. Be patient and give yourself time to figure things out. If you realize it’s for you, go for it, and if you’re not sure, you can be a noahide.

People can be discouraging on purpose to ensure only very sincere converts, who persist and refuse to take no for an answer, end up converting. Try not to stress or take things personally. If you’re meant to convert, you’ll convert, when the time is right.
