Let’s put aside lehathilos and all early zionism activities and objections. How do we see it now?
Majority of Jews in Israel are not in violation of teshuvos – post-war Europeans, Sephardim, Russians came to EY fleeing prosecution. Americans are now coming as personal aliya or to learn Torah. Even descendants of early communists may not follow Stalin any more. So there is a de facto large Jewish community in EY with Torah learning, minimal assimilation comparing to the rest of the world, and even anti-religious pay taxes to support kashrus and learners.
Should they not form a government? Leave? Jump into the sea? Submit to Arabs? UN? What is your proposal.
