Hitler wasn’t elected; he *LOST* the Presidential election in 1932 to Hindenberg. He gained power without bloodshed because a coalition of right wing parties couldn’t agree with each other and ignored his awful message.
And to compare any American politician (with the possible exception of David Duke) to Hitler is way beyond the pale.
