To backtrack a bit, someone mentioned that the guys have a “list” of a dozen or more at the same time, while the girl is lucky to have one. How does the math work out on this? The population is approximately 50/50, and even given a slight proportion of more girls and the factor they date younger (outside of Chasidisha shidduchim) how can the variation be so great (a dozen to one)? Something doesn’t add up in this assumption.
