I know of a baalbos who spent a good few years in kollel who had to start dressing down at work due to every day being casual day (wearing striped or colored shirts is still considered fairly dressed up but it’s as casual as he’ll go). He would davka learn with his kids at night in their yeshiva in his work shirt so that they would never feel disenfranchised should they opt out of the uniform.
