noitallmr: In my circle of friends we don’t really get into details but with one or two friends I would discuss some things openly. Every girl has her own feelings on the matter. For example some girls would be very insulted if their friends didn’t tell them that they were getting engaged but others (like myself) see dating as something private and therefore don’t need to know when their friends are about to get engaged. All my friends know already that I’m not going to tell them before I get engaged.
we don’t discuss specific boys. But we do yenta and say “o so’n’so is going out.” We talk about what type of boy we want. Or how it’s so annoying that some boys are only looking for money or yichus. Just the normal things I guess.
