Its ok, maybe I shouldnt have jumped on you, I wasnt speaking just for myself I just figured it seemed like an accusation on everyone here.
I certainly forgive you blev shalem just realize that not everybody feels your passion and not everybody is in a position to do something and many people are busy with many other worthy causes as well as taking care of their families (a worthy cause if there ever was one) so please dont be so tough on everyone.
I just watched a clip today about children with cancer, should I start screaming at everyone to donate millions of dollars to help those children? No I dont think that would be fair. They may not feel what I felt when I watched it and they may say well there are people starving Id rather help them….to each their own.
Im not saying that abuse is not a major problem, its huge and of paramount importance, but its very complicated and most people just dont know what to do and would rather not get involved because there are powerful people in the community on the side of the devil who can make life difficult for those trying to do something good as well as many Rabbanim saying we have it under control. This is a very complex issue.
