There is a great variety in Jewish music today. Granted most of it is not as professional or as good as non Jewish music but a lot of the draw to eat leaves over time. You need to retrain your ears to what music is and once you get used to Jewish music you will be fine.
You can go to mostlymusic.com and galpazmusic.com and listen to different types of music to find what you like. They have clips from every singer’s cds to listen to. See if maybe Israeli music agrees with you. Its different from American style and many people I know who used to be hooked on non Jewish substituted it with Israeli music like Gad Elbaz, Chaim Yisroel and others.
