no boss likes it when there are 20 minute conversations, and then the next 20 minutes when the third person comes in – certainly they don’t like when you play solitaire – These are very blatant wrongdoings, and the boss unfortunately has to pick his battles cause you can’t yell at all the workers all the time – but that doesn’t take away from it being very wrong – i remember one boss telling me that he once had someone check his phone bills, and there were employees that were on the phone for local calls for over 5 out of 8 hours – although i also need a break now and then for some interoffice chitchat or a walk down the coffee room, i try very hard to make up the time so that my boss doesn’t lose out.
