I can’t help think of Rabbi Nachum Eisenstein’s column, Denying Reality, in the Dec. 24 Yated. Our impact in the world doesn’t make the world love us more, and while hard work, ingenuity, and the desire to better mankind may be positive values, there is so much more for us to take pride in.
