I happen to agree with Eclipse. I think that too many arm-chair psychologists are throwing around these terms with no real substance to them. Sometimes nice people get divorced because they are not right for each other. Sometimes kids rebel, because well… that’s what kids do when they become teens. Sometimes they are intransigent, but it does not mean the parents did something wrong OR that the kids are emotionally disturbed. Having said this — sometimes people ARE mentally ill, and parents made horrific mistakes with their kids. But it still is not our place to judge.
