I doubt Hamodia is trying to trounce Ami, et al, as much as boost their circulation. I hope subscription prices won’t go up; they are keeping the new inserts non-glossy which should help.
But if people are willing to pay what they are for the weekly magazines, this new approach is quite understandable.
