What exactly is off base? in my circles.. (there r differnt frum communities, i may be in a different one than u) the rabbis outright do not not aprove of bnei torah becoming singers. for excellent reasons. i see first hand what “singers” become… i guess everyones minds r so pure they can not imagine a place where such a phenomenon exists..
