Just came back from doing errands on 13th avenue. I still am apalled that while so many among us are ready to do any type of work, some storeowners feel comfortable hiring “nisht a yid”. Some stores that hired nisht a yid was popular cash only grocery with having nisht a yid running the store including cash register, card shop, toy store. We wanted the toy store but drove to 18th avenue where store owner has yidden running the store. If more of us will give business only to store owners giving a yid a job, perhaps it will give some of the unemployed among us a chance.
