MDlevine – Thanks for posting and admitting that you aren’t a medical prof.
You just proved that I’m not a “Doctor of cut & paste” like some posters have accused me of. (Not that I wanted to prove it because I have No ego, not like some posters.) But if you just do a cut & paste on this topic you will come out with the info you found. I, on the other hand and all med. prof. have learnt from lectures, medical books, Media, Online (Net) and many sources.
The info in this topic that I posted above comes from my vast collection of medical books. The name of the book is – “Guide to Medical Cures and Treatments” on the page of “Ingrown nails”. This book is meant for laymen -so the info is appropiate for home treatment. Don’t confuse this book with “Currents Medical Diagnosis & Treatments”, which I also own – which is meant for the Med. Prof.!
