I am a parent of teenagers and I’ll say this. In an idealistic world I’d agree with you 100%. The problem is that in reality some parents need help dealing with that knowledge and don’t have the sense to get that help for their kids sake and they wind up harming their kids by reacting the wrong way. Its unfortunate but I’ve seen it happen. For kids of those parents, they may be better off keeping things from their parents.
