Nowadays, things have to be dealt with differently, given the nature of their illness/ cravings/ addictions, but halachah doesn’t change. Let’s say word must be out about a certain individual (halacha permitting), it’s not allowed to be done with malicious intent. All other ????? too, must be adhered to.
