I’ve heard of a heter to listen to taped (not live) music during sefira attributed to a reputable source but I will not say who as I’m not 1000% sure. I don’t listen though.
There’s a difference between a capella and some of the stuff out there. A group of people singing in harmony is one thing, but the computer enhancements can be problematic. CYLOR.
