Shlishi: I don’t think it’s up for us to judge levels of Gedolim. He was respected by R’ Shlomo Zalman, R’ Mordechai Elyahu, and R’ Ovadia (at the very least) as a Posek of their caliber. Who are any of us to comment either for or against him.
