Brooklyn Chareidim dont have tv, so newspapers represent a large portion of their news sources. (It is also true outside of Brooklyn but 1) they arent as concentrated outside of Brooklyn so it less noticable 2) outside of Brooklyn there are less opportunities to read the front page of a newspaper you dont own.)
