I would never consider NOT tipping movers. 10% seems steep, and the amount should be up to the customer, but the act of tipping is most definitely necessary. When I moved 2 years ago, the movers couldn’t get my couch through the doorway of my new apt, it was August and boiling hot, they tried for 2 hours but ultimately it wasn’t happening. I gave them a huge tip because they had worked so hard. When you have a service provided for you, it’s appropriate to tip.
