First of all, I don’t think the issur of lashon hora applies to dead people. Also, the Chazon Ish clearly states in the beginning of Parshas Noach that it is important for us to know the real truth about the great people of our past if we are to learn lessons from their lives. (Ayin Sefer Bais Av)
