A casual look at Wikipedia reveals the following: “A mineral is an element or chemical compound that is normally crystalline and that has been formed as a result of geological processes.”
Nobody considers pearl formation to be a geological process.
Also, cultured and uncultured pearls are basically the same, except that cultured pearls are assisted by human intervention.

Thanks you are correct I Google some more. It is interesting to read up on pearls and how they are made so Google about pearls and minerals if you feel like knowing more about it.

Kids are getting dumber today. It’s pathetic. All they want to do is text their friends and be on the internet Facebook twitter whatever. They can’t spell and they don’t know a thing. We are rolling out a new generation of dummies who only know how to communicate via txt mssg wtvr. Rant over carry on.
WIY: All that you’ve mentioned above is NOT making kids “dumber” – it’s just cultural conditioning. I really don’t think that texting or Facebook or whatever reduces a person’s actual mental capacity. And you can’t attack the kids for whatever apathy or intellectual slovenliness they may have – it’s not even a conscious decision on their part, so that won’t do any good.

If you put together all of the questions and answers so far I will play. It’s just hard to jump in in middle without knowing what was or wasn’t asked.
It’s not chulent, it’s not alive, it’s not aluminum, diamonds, gold, nickel, lead, zinc or copper, it’s manmade, it does not grow from the ground, it has electronic components, it’s not green, it is tangible, it’s used for general-purpose use, it sometimes is (and sometimes isn’t) larger than a 2 liter soda bottle, it doesn’t have a screen, it doesn’t have audio output.
Basically, we’re looking for some sort of consumer electronic equipment, with no screen or sound (so probably for task-oriented vs. entertainment use), that comes in different sizes.
Okay WIY, here goes…

Does its use require user interaction (like a piano keyboard, typewriter, phone, etc.) – as opposed to something that runs on its own, with only minimal user interaction (like a space heater, blender, toaster etc.)?
