what did u take apon yourself for this new year?

I took upon myself the following:
– To be more understanding of my fellow man
– To think twice before I speak (or write)
– To try to put myself in my fellow person’s shoes before I judge (if I do so at all)
– To think more of others before myself
– To hold others in higher esteem than I hold myself
– To speak respectfully to others, regardless of their station in life.

Perhaps… but that doesn’t mean we can’t try to limit it as much as possible.

For sure. I was just commenting on the (if I do so at all) part.
On my list, I put “agree with Wolf more”, seeing how I fulfilled that today.
I always list my goals at the end of the year, that way I can be sure I have met them.
bl’n try to have something in mind for a change when I make a bracha.

There’s SO much that needs to be improved upon, the question is WHICH one? I know of someone who kept slipping up with bracha achrona. They said it was so small but it felt a world of a difference that they have improved in some way. Try to pick something that’s a reasonable goal for yourself.
