There is an amazing song on Youtube called Al Zeh haya by Yosef Shick in honor of two bochurim who passed away in Waterbury. My kallah and I feel it works well with Mi Bon siach for our wedding. What do you think?

you are getting married; we break a glass under the chuppah, but we don’t turn the whole thing into mourning
May 8, 2013 10:09 pm at 10:09 pm #951758blackhatwannabeParticipantBut even the tune is beautiful-changes a sad song into a beautiful joyous song.

May 8, 2013 10:31 pm at 10:31 pm #951761Oh Shreck!ParticipantThere’s a big difference between a sad, depressing tune and a deep, reflective, introspective one.
You don’t want to begin your life together on a note of melancholy.
May you share only Simchos with us.
May 8, 2013 10:38 pm at 10:38 pm #951762squeakParticipantPopa, you mean we don’t want to take away the one part of the chuppah that doesn’t shtim with aveilus. And I don’t agree that this would, because true aveilus would be have no music (unless you are MO) at all, not even mournful tunes. So I say go for it.
