He should be blessed with much hatzlacha in his holy work of raising tzedakah for Klal Yisroel’s needy.

A few points from experience there:

The kollel has or had a list of gvirim but it may well be worth getting a driver if your friend is not familiar with Toronto (even with the percentage taken he is likely to be more successful).

There are a few families that regularly host meshulachim, I can only say words of praise for the edited family in specific.

The Va’ad itself generally has all the resources one may need (including numbers, addresses, hosting, etc). He should really be in touch with them to make all the necessary connections.

Take a coat, ear muffs, warm clothing, I was in Toronto a couple of years ago in the winter and it was freezing.

I suggest using a driver unless you have someone local who will drive you

    I second barlev.

LA and Miami Beach are much better places to raise funds in the winter.

<en> also dont let people fool you into taking small money….

Is this a Joke, If you are collecting you should be happy with whatever you get and not ask for more especially if you dont know the person

And while we’re on the subject of small money, I hope you realize Canadian currency is at this time actually small money.

***Your friend did realize he was going outside the US, correct?
