I hope you are prepared for Brooklyn Prices, $2000 and up per month depending on how many bedrooms

    Bed-Stuy is cheaper.

Goq: Bed-stuy is pretty up and coming. So while it may vary by block etc. I wouldn’t consider it cheaper than BP or Flatbush – it may very well be more expensive and not the area the OP is interested in.

Even with roomates Brooklyn is still expensive, maybe $700 a month and most apartments are smaller than what you would be used to.

You do not get space anywhere in NYC unless you have ALOT of money.

and Bed Stuy is up and coming, It has alot of Brownstones there which people want and was cheaper than Brooklyn Heights or Prospect park and therefore is becoming gentrified (Meaning Afican Americans are pushed out and whites move in)

Actually, a study was conducted which showed that neighborhoods with rising prices actually have fewer people moving out.

ZD there have been many places where the African Americans pushed out the Jews, example west side of Chicago.
