If a school has the attitude of, “Nobody told the Schwartz’s that they need to have 12 kids if they can’t afford it,” or “Don’t have 35 kids and then send them to my school without paying your fair share of tuition, expecting me to pay in full to put your kids through school!” – then it is worse than Pharaoh. Pharaoh was gozer only on the males. The school is gozer on the males and the females. Pharaoh was gozer only beolam hazeh, the school is gozer on olam haba and olam hazeh.

    From your other thread:
I am not some scarred individual walking through life
Are you sure, because that is not the impression you are giving

Curiosity: Your valid complaint doesn’t apply to Chareidi yeshivos, as they aren’t guilty of what you charge.

RebbYidd. Yes. Unless it is a co-ed school, in which case it begs the question, should a couple have kids if their only option is to put them through co-ed school?

Syag, how do you know I’m the same author as the one on the other thread? Maybe I’m the scarred, cynical sibling of the other post’s author?

If you cant afford tuition, u all have a simple ! Go snd home school them and stop blaming and forcing schools to foot your tuition bill. Or go back to school to get educated in a better paying job market. Hashem want to see u are mishtadel and he will do his share. Do your share and stop whining.

It’s the father’s responsibility to teach the kids, not the school’s. If you can’t afford to hire others, then do it yourself.

When Hillel could not pay the entrance fee he was not allowed in. For good or for bad, we are constrained by the physical world.

Takes 2- Who will feed the family if the parents have to stay home to teach their kids or go back to school?

MDG when there’s 1800s level Haskalah, you’ll understand why.

MDG: And it the father is both poor as well as unlearned, should his children be condemned since he is both incapable of teaching them Torah and cannot afford tuition?

Another pathetic stab at our school sysyem.
Maybe someone wants to open a thread condemning seamstresses, i was once really uncomfortable because my jacket was too tight and they wanted $40 to fix it! Just for poking holes with a needle and thread, both of which cost nothing. And how much time could she have spent on it anyway! Its corruption!

This is why one should prepare for parnosso before getting married .
And to answer your question more precisely.
א איד געבט זיך א עצה.
Just like they figure out how to pay other bills and camps and visiting uman and other non priority expenses. They somehow figure it out. Its not the schools responsibility to foor everyones tuition bill. Open your own school and see how u feel when a person says to u to foot thier bill because of excuses xyz.

Syag, I have never heard a seamstress complain about her wages, but if what you say is true, you should boycott them by doing the work yourselves, or just not buy any clothing. That’s what some of the posters here would recommend.

You havent heard seamstresses whining? I thought for sure it was a global problem! It must be that you werent very attentive.

Takes2 – How did we get back to their finances again? Now we get to decide what is priority or not for other people. You had me there for a bit, i agreed witb you and i actually thought you were being genuine as your examples do seem to be extras, but you had to get that uman dig in there. Care to share the thorn?

Curiosity, so not only should rebbeim have miniscule salaries, they should also be months behind?

Noyb – Amram was not doing any of the above, yet his daughter Miriam used the same analogy. That’s not to say they all don’t stuff kids into walls or bathe in the blood of kids who don’t get accepted. I’ve heard some pretty vicious things about some cheder schools. 😉 The parents being slaves part is vaday true for almost all the schools.

Apparently syag thinks that going to uman is not a genuine issue for people who are struggling financially.

Syag never said anything of the sort. Syag said that trips to uman are on the list of so few people that your adding it in was just a dig. And an assumption that a significant amount of people going cant afford it.

I too get very upset when people who cant afford tuition are spending money on things that are not important but I wouldn’t be the one to decide what things those are for which families, I have been dealing with providing food and things to people who don’t have for over 30 years and I have learned the hard way that each situation is very unique and requires research and shailas. To throw out Uman singles out a specific population in a way that is neither appropriate or mentchlich.

This thread is slander against yeshiva, everywhere. No yeshiva has, as a matter of policy, the goal of destroying a single Jewish kid, physically or spiritually.
