Except from Rabbi Frand on the Parsha:

The Yalkut in Parshas Emor states that in the merit of 4 things, the Jews merited to be redeemed from Egypt. The first 3 are well known: They did not change their names, their language, or their mode of dress. The fourth source of merit enumerated by the Medrash is that they did not speak lashon hara [gossip; slander].

Unfortunately, we can see that these 4 have become more prevalent in this generation than in prior doros. I think that we, as a community, need to reinforce these principles as we sit down to our sedarim this Monday night.

    Thoughts?

Rather inspire with the beauty of the Jewish nation than the wrongdoings. Enforcing things upon people will not inspire.

He wears a tie, and non-Jews wear a tie. Most chasiddim don’t wear ties. VeHamaven Yovan…………
