an email i just received:
A delegation of Rabbonim and askonim were at the Sanz-klausenberg rabbi today and invited him to attend the Siyum Hashas, the rebbi welcomed them very warmly, The Rebbis father the Shefa Chaim was a known advocate for Daf Hayomi, and spoke at the Siyum Hashas in the USA and in Eretz Yisroel.
With all the controversy regarding the Siyum Hashas many were considering not to attend the Siyum Hashas, the rebbi is a big name for Agudah to have attending, since he is known as a huge Gaoen and Tzadik and a very frum rebbi. the rebbi previously spoke at the siyum hashas and at the, Oz Vehader Siyum Hashas in Eretz Yisroel were all the Gedolim of Eretz Yisroel Attended.
CAN ANYONE CONFIRM?
it would be nice if the siyum hashas could be a display of achdus. sigh.
How many people are actually being mesayem shas? (Is the rebbe being mesayem shas?)
ok. so that means he probably won’t be mesayem again next week.
@KolHaolam: BORO PARK: Klausenberger Rebbe is first Rebbe to accept invite today by Aguda to attend Siyum Ha’shas on August 1st, he will be speaking.
Do you actually believe that the Agudah doesn’t have a lineup of speakers yet? This is not the first time they’re doing this.
And are they making a press release for every speaker?
who else is scheduled to speak?
I hope they invite the oldest Jew alive today and the only person who can give us a first hand account of what life was like on the days of the amoraim in bavel (though he does talk too much sometimes and often does not exactly say what you expected)… the one and only popa bar abba!!
