I’ve been to many Jewish stores in search for a gown for a family simcha, and all the gown stores have crazy prices. I haven’t seen ANY tznius gowns in the area costing less than $400. So, I went to another store and found a nice gown for $100. The problem is that it’s strapless, and I’m going to need to get it built up to cover my collar bone and elbows. (I’ve been to a seamstress who demands $200 for that!)

If anyone knows seamstresses in Brooklyn who do a good job and doesn’t charge much ($75?) please post! Thanks!

Chinese seamstresses usually don’t charge too much money and do a fairly good job. Although I personally wouldn’t use them for fixing gowns.
