Once upon a time there was a poster here named Joseph. He represented the Rav Elya Svei wing of the Rav Aharon Kotler school of thought. Unfortunately, his screen name was nistaleik. However, the spirit of his screen name still lurks in the CR, there for us to turn our thoughts and comments to.
He sometimes comes back in the physical gilgulim of other screen names. However, we want the return of Joseph kepshuto mammash. So I am hereby starting the Campaign to Bring the Joseph. His hiskashrus and atzmius with the YWN owner makes comments to him the same as comments to the YWN owner. They will understand and see- it’s Joseph who runs the CR! We want Joseph now!
LOL. Joseph is a normal Yid who for whatever reason did not fit in here, so he started to act crazy to get attention or to get some sort of revenge against the mods.
In this case it wasn’t warranted, as this board is basically well-run and fairly moderated. However, I did the same myself when a group of misfits took over an information board that I once frequented and turned it into a social gathering for their clique of losers and wannabes.
My privacy was breached by one of the misfits, a socially inept fellow who did not even know that what he was doing was wrong, and after that I did what Joseph did – signed up all kinds of screen names and engaged in dialogue between them just to make things hard for the misfits. Later, the board became a haven for Eurotrash anti-Semites as well (although the owner was Jewish, she had more screws loose than an old Model T in Havana and all she wanted were hits to prove to her sucker advertisers that people read her site, so she did nothing to stop them), and at that point I really started to have fun until I got banned altogether.
The board has nothing to do with any of my interests now (I was OTD at the time and it was a board for expatriates in a city where I no longer live), but ironically the misfits were forced out in the end and made their own board for their little social cabal.

Why is he called Joseph, if he had multiple screen names? Joseph could just be the false screen name.
While some believe that Joseph has left the CR for good, others believe that he is still here among us and that he is merely “hidden.”
This thread is already a bad idea.

There was another poster whose name was Joseph that was impersonated by the “fake” Joseph. From what I remember (this goes back some time) the original Joseph had his account and all his posts deleted.
If he is who I think he is, his name is not Joseph.
i happened to agree with him many times. I think his flaws were using fake screen names and identities (though some like clairvoyant were amusing), his too nosiness into other people (though I look at him as a wannabe psychiatrist, wanting to know and understand everyone, though at times it was too invasive), and his not polished way of stating his extreme views (though i often agreed more with his views than others, i just disagreed with the way he would state them). Generally, people with his views would not be on the cr (which is also why i shouldn’t be here)
